Another of my experiences is shooting concerts and other varieties of staged performances. Timing is the essential ingredient to catch that crescendo instant in which the artist has the best expression which will represent them for all time.At the top is a shot 1968 of Martha & the Vandellas who's "Dancing in the Street" was one of the hottest song of the era - later covered by Mick Jagger. When I met Martha in 2012, I presented her with a print of that image. Her response was priceless. She just looked at the shot in amazement and kept repeating, "Oh, my God. Oh my God."
